Tall Ships - San Francisco & San Diego


Ships, and the men who sailed them, have been a fascination of mine since I was a child. The steel hulled merchantman in San Francisco and The Rose (later re-named after her role in a movie), a replica of a British frigate of the Napoleonic era, are two fine examples of the 19th century science of ship building.
