Salinas Valley - East of Eden
The Salinas Valley, Steinbeck country, is a splendor of its own. It is blessed by a temperate climate, rich and deep top soil and an immense acquifer. Vegetables and lettuces abound. In recent years vinyards have joined the row crops. The narrow valley is bounded by mountains and a unique and somewhat bizarre geological feature, The Pinnacles.
