A Triumph of Merging Technology and Nature

The Golden Gate stands alone among the great bridges of America for its successful fusion of man and nature. There are immense parks at either end that frame its signal red structure. Its arch seems to fly over the narrow opening to the sea that it bridges. It is a fitting symbol of our westermost frontier and our outlet to the world of the Pacific Rim.
